Dj/rupture, Doseone and Richie Hawtin with the OCB |
Dj/rupture, Doseone and Richie Hawtin with the OCB at L'Auditori For the third year in a row, Sónar and L'Auditori de Barcelona combine efforts to present a musical act of exceptional character. The Orquestra Simfonica de Barcelona i Nacional de Catalunya (OBC), directed on this occasion by maestro Pedro Alcalde*, will collaborate with Richie Hawtin, Dj/rupture and Doseone. Afterwards it will perform a repertoire focusing on the concept of landscaping, with appropriate visual support by Dietmar Offenhuber and Rachel Reupke, two of the artists participating in the exhibition Randonnée as part of SonarMática. The concert will take place at L'Auditori 16-17 June at 21:00 and will consist of two parts:First part: the OBC collaborates with Sónar musicians.DJ/rupture :: the North American Barcelona-based musician will collaborate on 3 compositions by Viennese composer Anton Webern** (to be played by the OBC) using sound collage and sound manipulation techniques with the aid of the turntable.Doseone :: singer, Mc and member of Subtle and other acts in the Anticon family, Doseone will be featured on two pieces by Webern, giving prominence to his personal vocal recitation and making use of the elements of gestural theatre.Richie Hawtin :: Building on the successful experience with Pan Sonic in Sónar 2004, Pedro Alcalde and Sergio Caballero have written two independent pieces that will be performed by the OBC and heard alongside to two separate pieces by Hawtin, creating something new and never heard of before. A real challenge.
