The Deadbeats
Both from Nottingham- UK, Ged Day and Damian Stanley were pivotal
players in the development of the Midlands music scene and the rise
of the DIY label. Whilst there, they recorded under many names including
Studio 54 and Overview, which featured on the Warp album "DIY
- Strictly for Groovers". With the collapse of the free party
scene in the early 90s, there came a musical shift. They began
experimenting at slower tempos and set up their own label, Space Hopper,
recording together as the Deadbeats +++
